State Police Are Seeking Public's Help For Cold Case Murder
Police are still investigating the 2001 death of Wyanda Williams, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

The New York State Police are still investigating a nearly 18-year-old cold case into the death of Wyanda Williams, and they're asking anyone who has information about her death to come forward.
On Sept. 9, 2001, police say Wyanda Williams, 35, of Freeport, was thrown from a car traveling on the Southern State Parkway, near Exit 16. Williams was hit several times by passing cars, and the car she was thrown from was never identified.
An investigation showed that Williams lied just miles away from the crime scene, and would frequently travel to Hempstead. Very limited information was available about her friends and family.
