HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Sacred Heart Academy student from Lynbrook has earned national recognition.

Junior Kimberly Wong received a gold national medal in the prestigious Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition.

Wong stood out for her poem "Learning My ABGs."
