Students Meet With Members Of Synagogue For Holocaust Remembrance Day

Malverne High School students learned about hate and tolerance.

MALVERNE, NY — April 28 was Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom Hashoah as it's called in Israel, is the annual holiday to think about the six million Jewish people, who died in Holocaust during World War II.

Part of the remembrance took place at the Malverne Senior High School, which joined forces with Malverne Jewish Center, to assist in a unique learning experience.

Members of the jewish center were welcomed to the school, working with students to understand words can hurt, heal and hope.
