The Boat Basin Café is a casual outdoor restaurant, arranged in three sections & located in Riverside Park at the end of 79th Street on the Hudson River. There is an open air patio that overlooks the Marina and the Hudson River. It easy to find but you won't just see it.
Basically, just walk west down 79th Street toward the river and figure it out. It's part of the fun. What you'll experience is a great waterfront location that feels like it was once a coluseum where gladiators would fight while the fans looked down from above. There are barrel vaulted ceilings and huge cement columns like you'd see in Gustavino's without the price tag that goes with it.
What a great hidden place for relaxing during happy hour or on the weekends. You'll feel like you got away from the grind of the city as you relax outside with a cold beer and a burger.
