Town of Hempstead Employee Files Discrimination Suit

A Town of Hempstead employee has filed a racial discrimination suit against the town, alleging it did nothing to stop the racism and abuse he faced as an employee in the highway department.

According to Newsday, the employee, Jimmie Howard, filed the federal lawsuit after facing discrimination and harassment for nearly 10 years. Howard still works for the town, but now works in the parks department.
