
WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY - Two men robbed a McDonald’s in West Hempstead Tuesday afternoon after placing an order at the fast food joint, Nassau Police said.
According to police, the men entered the McDonald’s located at 380 Hempstead Turnpike around 4:45 p.m. and approached a female employee at the counter.
After placing an order, one of the men placed a black plastic bag on the counter along with a demand note, police said.

The second man then told the cashier to open the cash register drawer as he motioned to his waist band as if he had a weapon, police said.
The cashier complied and the men fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was displayed.

No arrests have been made.
The first man is described as black, 5-foot-11, heavyset, and wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and a black baseball cap.
The second man is described as black, 5-foot-10, about 30-years-old, with a thin build, and wearing a black vest and a gray sweatshirt and a black winter cap.
Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
