UPS Truck Seriously Injured Woman In Hit-And-Run: Nassau Police
Police say the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by the delivery truck, causing multiple traumatic injuries.
A UPS truck was involved in a hit-and-run in Franklin Square Monday evening, and police are reaching out to the public for information.
According to police, a 34-year-old woman was walking at the intersection of Langdon Street and Doris Avenue at 5:05 p.m. on Nov. 18 when she was hit by a UPS truck heading north on Doris Avenue. The truck left the scene, and the woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she is listed in serious but stable condition.

Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
"We are cooperating with local law enforcement on their investigation, but at this time there is no evidence that UPS was involved in this incident," UPS said in a statement to Patch. "At UPS, we hold ourselves to a high standard. The safety of our employees and general public are our highest priority.”
