Valley Stream 24 School District Shows Appreciation to its Board of Education
Student Council members from all three schools in the Valley Stream 24 School District recently celebrated School Board Recognition Week by expressing their appreciation to the district’s Board of Education.
“Our Board of Education works tirelessly and with great passion to provide every student with the resources and opportunities to succeed,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Unal Karakas. “We are deeply grateful for their dedication, and I am so proud of our Student Council members for their thoughtful tribute and genuine expressions of gratitude.”
Student Council members shared words of appreciation and presented the Board with a video highlighting the Board’s positive impact on the district, including the redesign of three classrooms as part of Vision 2030. In addition, students crafted special thank-you gifts, including a creative representation of a Chromebook listing the district’s values—a symbol of the Board’s commitment to ensuring students have access to the latest technology.
