Valley Stream 24 Students Explore the World’s Wonders at Cultural STEAM Night

William L. Buck School recently welcomed families from its K–2 classes for an engaging and educational Cultural STEAM Night, bringing learning to life through hands-on exploration of world landmarks, cultures and geography.

Students and their families traveled across the globe without leaving the school, discovering destinations such as the Amazon Rainforest, the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Egyptian Pyramids, the Statue of Liberty and more. Each interactive station was thoughtfully designed to represent a famous landmark while encouraging creativity, problem-solving and collaboration among the district’s youngest learners.

Through creative building activities and interactive learning experiences, students were able to connect STEAM concepts with global culture in a fun and meaningful way.

Despite the cold weather, the event drew a strong turnout, as families, friends, and staff came together to celebrate learning and build lasting memories. The cultural STEAM Night highlighted the district’s commitment to fostering curiosity, creativity, cultural awareness, and community engagement.
