The Valley Stream Elks Lodge recently donated dictionaries to third-grade students throughout the Valley Stream 24 School District.

Students received their own dictionaries to help strengthen reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and writing skills. This demonstrated the district’s commitment to fostering relationships with groups like the Elks Lodge that support education and youth development in their community.

The Valley Stream Elks Lodge, instituted in 1960, is a local chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. For decades, the lodge has played an active role in serving the Valley Stream community through a variety of charitable initiatives and outreach programs.
