West Hempstead Firefighters Rescue Dogs From House Fire

Despite the frigid temperature this morning, firefighters got the blaze under control and rescued two dogs. See pictures here.

West Hempstead firefighters rescued two dogs from a house fire on Cedar Street this morning.

According to the fire department, the call came in at 9:40 a.m. for a fire in a one-story home. The frigid temperatures made getting the fire under control tricky, but firefighters managed to contain the blaze.

The firefighters also rescued and revived two dogs from inside the home. No one was injured.
