West Hempstead School Budget Vote Passes

The school district budget includes a 1.5 percent tax levy increase.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — Homeowners went to the polls on Tuesday and the West Hempstead Union Free School District budget passed.

The revote was approved by a vote of 1,239 to 1,065.

The 2022-2023 school budget, at more than $71 million, is an increase of $2.2 million from the previous year.
