West Hempstead Schools Hold First Fall Festival

Chestnut Street students were all smiles as they enjoyed the pumpkins and sunshine.

MALVERNE-WEST HEMPSTEAD-LYNBROOK, NY - From the West Hempstead Union Free School District: Chestnut Street School students in the West Hempstead School District enjoyed a day of fall-inspired activities during the school’s first fall festival.

Members of the West Hempstead High School Key Club assisted as the classes rotated among various stations where students played games including spider web cornhole, candy corn ring toss, pumpkin hockey and mummy-wrapping the principal, Faith Tripp, with toilet paper.

Additionally, students were thrilled to pick pumpkins in the patch and take class photos with bales of hay and scarecrows.
