Woman Killed in Crash Into Pole, Tree in N. Valley Stream

A 26-year-old woman died after her car crashed into a light pole and a tree in North Valley Stream early Tuesday morning, police said.

According to police, the woman was driving a 2005 Chrysler eastbound on Dutch Broadway at Valpark Avenue when the car hit the pole and tree around midnight.

Police and the Elmont Fire Department used the jaws-of-life to extricate the woman from the vehicle, but she was pronounced dead at Franklin Hospital at 12:51 am.

The woman’s name is being withheld pending family notification, police said. This crash investigation is ongoing.
