1. 16-Year-Old Injured After E-Bike Crashes Into Ford In Massapequa Park: Police (patch.com) β Massapequa Park residents are learning more about a Monday night crash where a 16-year-old on an e-bike was hurt after colliding with a Ford at Park Boulevard and Sunrise Highway. Police say the teen suffered leg injuries and lacerations, while the 18-year-old driver stayed at the scene and was not reported injured.

Queens man indicted, five others charged in large-scale narcotics bust in Nassau (longislandpress.com) β A yearlong narcotics investigation has led to six people being charged in a large-scale fentanyl and xylazine trafficking ring that allegedly operated across Nassau County, including Massapequa. Prosecutors say the accused ringleader used stamped glassine envelopes to distribute deadly drugs and made tens of thousands of dollars before authorities seized large quantities of narcotics, cash, and firearms in a July search.

Mary Jo Buttafuoco being treated for breast cancer, report says (newsday.com) β A woman long linked to a notorious Massapequa shooting is now being treated for early-stage breast cancer, after discovering a lump and quickly seeking a mammogram. Now living in California and working as a motivational speaker, she recently underwent surgery and is receiving radiation, while the article briefly recalls the 1992 attack outside her former Massapequa home.
