1 Hurt In Box Truck Crash On Long Island Expressway In Medford

The driver suffered minor injuries, Medford Fire Department officials said.

MEDFORD, NY — A crash involving an overturned box truck slowed the Long Island Expressway in Medford on Tuesday, as firefighters worked to remove the driver, fire department officials said.

Firefighters responded to the two-car crash just before 8 a.m., and the driver of the box truck was removed from the vehicle with minor injuries, according to officials.

The crash snarled traffic in the eastbound lane of the LIE near Route 112 as emergency responders worked the scene.
