10-Year-Old Boy Struck by Car in Medford
The accident occurred Thursday evening, police say.

MEDFORD, NY- A 10-year-old boy was struck by a car when he ran into a road in Medford Thursday evening, police said.
According to police, a 32-year-old Medford woman was driving her 2002 Acura eastbound on Granny Road when her car struck the boy near the intersection of Mill Road around 5:30 p.m. The boy, who is from Medford, was transported by Medford Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was treated for a broken femur and lacerations.
The driver was not injured and remained at the scene.

The investigation is continuing and the vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
