2 Charged In Conection With Drag Racing In Suffolk: Police
The pair were spotted on Sunday night by the county's Street Takeover Task Force, police say.
MEDFORD, NY — Two men were arrested in connection with drag racing in Medford on Sunday, Suffolk police said.
A 2018 Audi S4 and a 2011 Infiniti were seen traveling more than 90 miles per hour southbound on County Road 101, near Woodside Avenue, by officers from the county's Street Takeover Task Force at around 7 p.m., police said, adding that a traffic stop of both vehicles and cited the drivers.
The driver of the Audi, a 21-year-old from Bay Shore, and the driver of the Infiniti, a 21-year-old from Medford, were both issued summonses for unlawful speed contest, speeding, and multiple vehicle traffic laws, according to police.

Both vehicles were seized and taken to the county's impound lot, and both men will be arraigned at a later date, police said.
