77-Year-Old Medford Woman Dies After Head-On Crash

BREAKING: The woman suffered an "apparent medical emergency" before veering into oncoming traffic Wednesday night, police say.

CORAM, NY – A 77-year-old woman died following a two-car head-on crash in Suffolk County Wednesday night, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, Frances Schlosser, of Medford, was driving a 2010 Chevy west on Middle Country Road, when she suffered an apparent medical emergency, veered into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2003 Acura at about 10:30 p.m.

Schlosser was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Acura, 27-year-old Khadiza Kobra, of Coram, suffered minor injuries in the crash and was treated and released from the hospital, police said.
