MEDFORD, NY – A 9-year-old Long Island boy was seriously injured in a dirt bike crash in his backyard Tuesday evening, police said. According to Suffolk Police, Jacob Pfeiffer crashed a dirt bike into a tree at his home on Buffalo Avenue in Medford at about 5:40 p.m. His father, Richard Pfeiffer, was supervising him while following him on another dirt bike. Jacob was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via Suffolk County Police helicopter for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. MEDFORD, NY – A 9-year-old Long Island boy was seriously injured in a dirt bike crash in his backyard Tuesday evening, police said.

Child Airlifted To Hospital 

The child was riding the dirt bike in his Long Island backyard when he crashed into a tree Tuesday evening, police say.
