The Anti-Drug Coalition meeting scheduled for April 4th at the Pat-Med library has been cancelled because some taxpayer funded agencies seem to think we don't need one... even though our young continue to die in record numbers without any signs of relief.
Until we get serious about inplementing the recommendations of the Suffolk Heroin & Opiate Advisory Panel and putting an end to the politics, nothing is going to change.
Maybe its time for our elected officials to re-visit the whole process including funding, to find out why we are failing. It doesnt have to be this way and parents are looking for our leaders to put an end to this health crisis destroying our youth and their families.
