LI’s Newest Pet Magazine & Website Has Changed Its Name

(Medford, NY) - D & S Advertising, Inc. has announced that, on Friday, March 29th, 2013, the Long Island Pet Finder magazine and website changed its name to…Long Island Pet Lover… and the new website address is now, www.Lipetlover.com

  Dean Murray, President and CEO of D & S Advertising, Inc., says, “We
realized that the name, Lipetfinder.com , was causing some confusion. While
consistent with our other publications and websites, (Long Island Job Finder,
Long Island Apartment Finder and Long Island Fugitive Finder)… the Long Island
Pet Finder was being confused with a very popular and well respected, national
website… Petfinder.com. We understand how the two can be confused, so as to
relieve that possibility of confusion among the sites, we decided to change our
name. The content and direction of the magazine and website remains the same,
as both will continue to serve as an entertaining, fun and informative,
resource for pet owners and pet lovers across Long Island.

  One of the big attractions of the Long Island Pet Lover is the “Featured Pet of the Month” contest.  Pet owners from all across Long Island submit a picture of their pet along with a brief description and then the visitors to the website vote to choose the winner each month.  The pet receiving the most votes in the
contest is declared the featured pet for the following month and has his/her
picture featured on the front cover of the Long Island Pet Lover magazine the
following month.  The magazine is available, free of charge, at hundreds of locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties, including, King Kullens, Best Yet Markets, Meat Farms, K-Marts, Stop & Shops, Dollar King stores, delis, diners and many other high traffic locations.

  Murray says, “We are hoping that the magazine and website will become the “go to” place for pet owners and pet lovers, all over Long Island.”
