NORTH BELLPORT, NY – A 63-year-old man was arrested after he crashed his van in North Bellport Tuesday night. Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the crash, which occurred on Tarpon Avenue around 7:20 p.m. Police say a man lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet van, which overturned. The man, who police did not immediately identify, became trapped in the van and needed to be freed by Medford firefighters. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. NORTH BELLPORT, NY – A 63-year-old man was arrested after he crashed his van in North Bellport Tuesday night.

Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating the crash, which occurred on Tarpon Avenue around 7:20 p.m. Police say a man lost control of his 2002 Chevrolet van, which overturned. The man, who police did not immediately identify, became trapped in the van and needed to be freed by Medford firefighters. He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was arrested and charged with DWI.
