Fire Consumes Garage Behind Medford Shopping Center

A fire ripped through a garage behind a Medford shopping center early Sunday.
The blaze broke out around 3:30 a.m. behind 2180 Route 112. Medford Fire Department chiefs arrived on the scene to find a fully engulfed commercial garage on fire. Firefighters had the blaze under control within 30 minutes. Assistance was called in from the North Patchogue Fire Department. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Brookhaven Town fire marshal.
