A fire destroyed a home in Medford Friday evening. Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a house fire just after 5 p.m. on Middle Line Avenue. The homeowners were not home at the time of the blaze. The fire gutted the entire house. One firefighter was transported to a nearby hospital for smoke inhalation.
