Long Island Teen Hospitalized After Group Throws Rocks At Car

BREAKING: A 14-year-old girl inside the car was struck by one of the rocks, police say.

A 14-year-old Long Island girl was taken to the hospital with facial lacerations and a fractured orbital bone after a group of "known males" smashed rocks through the car she was in early Wednesday, police said.

According to police, a group of teenagers were sitting in a parked 2005 Chrysler Pacifica on Forest Avenue in Farmingville when a group approached and threw large rocks through the front and rear windshields at 12:10 a.m.

The 14-year-old girl who was struck by one of the rocks was treated at Stony Brook University Hospital.
