Man Drives Himself To Long Island 7-Eleven After Being Shot

The man was shot once in the torso early Tuesday, police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY – A man drove himself to a 7-Eleven after being shot in Suffolk County early Tuesday, police said.

According to Suffolk Police, officers responded to a 911 call of a man shot in Mastic Beach at about 2:20 a.m. The man, who was shot once in the torso, drove himself to the 7-Eleven located at 210 Mastic Beach Road, where police were called.

The man, who police did not identify, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or 1-800-220-TIPS.
