Man Robs Suffolk Federal Credit Union In Medford: Police

The suspect, white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin and in his late 20s or early 30s, passed a note to a teller, police said.

MEDFORD, NY — Suffolk County Federal Credit Union was robbed Tuesday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.

Police said that at about 12:35 p.m., a man entered the bank, which is located on Horseblock Road, approached a teller and demanded money, then “the teller complied and gave the suspect cash from the drawer.”

The suspect then ran away, police said.

It is not clear how much money the robber got away with.

The robber was described as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, thin and in his late 20s or early 30s, police said, adding that he was wearing a white T-shirt and cargo shorts.

Police did not release any further information.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Major Case Unit at 631-852-6555, or to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
