Medford Man Abandoned Dog While Fleeing State: SPCA
The 24-year-old left his dog with no food or water while he fled New York believing there was a warrant for his arrest, the SPCA said.

WEST BABYLON, NY - A Medford was charged with animal cruelty on Wednesday after abandoning his dog in West Babylon, according to the Suffolk County SPCA.
Chris Gallagher, 24, was charged with animal cruelty for failure to provide proper sustenance and abandonment of his dog, the SPCA said.
Gallagher left his dog unattended in a crate and in a residence on Van Buren Street in for several days without food or water while Gallagher had fled New York believing there was a warrant for his arrest.

When found, the dog was emaciated.
Gallagher was arrested without incident.

He was released on station house bail and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on a later date for arraignment.
