Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Car in Farmingville
The accident occurred Saturday night, police say.

Suffolk Police County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Farmingville Saturday night.
According to police, a 29-year-old Medford man was driving a 2005 Hyundai east on Horseblock Road when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing Horseblock Road near North Ocean Avenue at about 9:20 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. He is described as Hispanic, in his 50s, 5-foot-6 with a dark mustache.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety inspection. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
