Police Make Arrest in Medford Bank Robbery

A TD Bank was robbed on Monday. Arrest made on Wednesday.

A Patchogue man has been arrested for robbing a Medford bank on Monday, police said.

Using video surveillance as well as Crime Stoppers tips, Pattern Crime Unit detectives identified the robber as 35-year-old Steven Alejandria. He was arrested in Wednesday.

According to police, Alejandria entered TD Bank, located at 1806 Route 112, at 9:58 a.m. Monday and passed a note that threatened violence and demanded cash. The teller complied with the Alejandria’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police said.

Alejandria is charged with third degree robbery, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
