Police: Man Walking on N. Patchogue Street Robbed by Armed Men

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in North Patchogue on Tuesday night.

Police say a man was walking on Vehslage Street at about 10:30 p.m. when two men pulled up next to him in an unknown vehicle, displayed a gun and demanded cash.

The victim was struck in the head during the robbery and self-transported himself to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center for treatment, police said.

The robbers fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.
