Police Release Photos of Man Wanted For Robbing Suffolk County Bank

A reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the man who robbed a bank in Shirley on Wednesday.

According to police, the man pictured above entered the Capital One bank located at 800 Montauk Highway in Shirley around 9:50 a.m. on Wendesday.

He handed a teller a note demanding cash, police said. The teller complied and the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber was described as white, unshaven, possibly in his 30s, about 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, with a medium build. He was wearing jeans, a black coat, a light-colored baseball cap and work boots.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
