Police Seek Public's Help to Find Woman Who Fraudulently Cashed Check at Medford Bank

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a woman who they say fraudulently cashed a check at a Medford bank earlier this month.

According to police, the woman falsely identified herself and deposited a fraudulent check into a Mastic Beach woman’s account at the TD Bank located at 1806 Route 112 on Aug. 16. The woman then withdrew $2,500 from the account, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
