Police Seeking Hit-And-Run Driver Who Backed Into Minivan

A woman fled the scene after backing into a minivan in a LI parking lot in July. Reward offered for information leading to an arrest.

Suffolk Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a woman who fled the scene of a crash in Patchogue in July.

According to police, a woman driving a Jeep backed her vehicle into a parked 2006 Chrysler Town & Country minivan, causing extensive damage to the rear of the minivan on July 1 at 6:30 a.m. in a parking lot located at 38 Rider Aven.

The driver of the Jeep then fled the scene. The woman is described as heavyset, white or Hispanic and with blond hair. The Jeep is described as a newer model white Jeep with a black top and gold plates.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
