Shirley Woman Stole About $50K From Nursing Home Residents: PD
Jazzame Paranzino, 29, was charged with third-degree grand larceny after pilfering the accounts of about 11 people, police said.
MEDFORD, NY — A 29-year-old Shirley woman pilfered about $50,000 from the accounts of nursing home residents at Catholic Health Maryhaven Center of Hope in Medford since last year, Suffolk police said.
Financial Crimes Unit detectives began an investigation in January 2021 after administrators at the human service agency discovered an employee was stealing money from the personal accounts of residents, police said.
Detectives later learned that Jazzame Paranzino had stolen from the accounts of about 11 residents while employed as a residence manager at the agency’s North Ocean Avenue location, according to police.

Paranzino was charged with third-degree grand larceny and is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
