Suffolk Cop Shoots DWI Suspect
BREAKING: Police say the man who was shot did not comply with the officer's commands and resisted arrest early Sunday morning.

MEDFORD, NY – Suffolk Police are investigating a police-involved shooting that occurred in Medford early Sunday morning.
It happened at about 2:45 a.m. on North Ocean Avenue just south of Long Island Avenue, police said.
According to police, a 34-year-old male driver was being pursued on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The man did not comply with an officer’s commands and resisted arrest, police said.

The officer discharged his weapon one time, striking the man in the shoulder, police said. The man is in stable condition at Stony Brook University Hospital.
There is a full and thorough investigation underway, police said.
