The suspect is believed to have taken cards from a wallet left on a counter at the store and then tried to use them, police say.

MEDFORD, NY — Suffolk police detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding the man who they say swiped credit cards from Target in Medford back in October.
A man stole a wallet left on a counter at Target on Horseblock Road, on Oct. 20, police said, adding that the man tried to use one of the stolen cards, but it was declined. In an image pulled from security footage, the man can be seen wearing a blue pullover, tan shorts, dark-colored sneakers, and a baseball cap. He appears to be clean-shaven.
The crime has been classified grand larceny, according to police.
