Suffolk Federal, along with its members, has donated more than $3,300 to the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County, the largest youth-serving nonprofit agency on Long Island, serving more than 40,000 girls.
Each year, Suffolk Federal members donate their cash-back incentive, five-cents on each of their signature-based transactions up to $350, through their Suffolk Federal Girl Scouts Visa Check Card to Girl Scouts. Suffolk Federal additionally donates the net proceeds of each member’s Suffolk Federal Girl Scouts checkbook purchase. Suffolk Federal also sponsored the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County’s recent Adult Awards Dinner event.
“Supporting the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County is a win-win,” said John Barrie, III, Vice President of Risk Management at Suffolk Federal and Board Member of Girl Scouts of Suffolk County. “It’s a great way for our members and the credit union to support an important cause. It’s an honor to work with an incredible agency that makes a difference in the lives of so many young girls in our communities.”
