Tree Falls Onto Suffolk County Home

A Farmingville family received a scare late Sunday night when a large tree fell on their home.

It happened just before midnight on Dogwood Avenue, authorities said.

The Farmingville Fire Department responded to the scene and discovered a tree had fallen onto power lines and then a home.

Firefighters cut and removed the downed tree when the scene was secure. No injuries were reported.

Power was out in the surrounding area for hours as PSEG Long Island repaired the downed wires.
