Two Men Try to Rob Medford Check Cashing Business

Police are searching for two men who attempted to rob a Medford check cashing business early Monday morning.

The incident occurred at Pay-O-Matic, located at 2690 Route 112, just south of the Long Island Expressway.

Police say two men entered the business, which is open 24 hours, through a rear door and handed a clerk a note demanding cash at 1:38 a.m. Monday. The two would-be robbers fled the scene without any proceeds, police say.

No injuries were reported.
