Woman Crashes Into Fence After Leading Cops On Chase

The 22-year-old fled after she was pulled over in Medford, almost striking an officer, police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY - A Hauppauge woman was crashed into a fence after leading police on a chase from Medford to Middle Island on Monday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.

Shaina Eisenberg, 22, was driving a 2014 BMW eastbound on Granny Road at 1:30 p.m. when police officers tried to execute a traffic stop, police said.

Eisenberg fled, almost striking an officer, police said.

At about 1:50 p.m. she struck a fence on Artist Lake Drive in Middle Island and was arrested, police said.

Eisenberg was charged with third degree fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, first degree reckless endangerment, fourth degree criminal mischief, third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

In addition, 24-year-old Kevin Burke, 24, of Holbrook, who was a passenger in the car, was charged with first degree loitering.
