Woman On E-Scooter Struck By Delivery Truck, Seriously Hurt In Medford: Police
The woman was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, Suffolk police say.
MEDFORD, NY — A motor vehicle crash seriously hurt a woman on an electric scooter Tuesday afternoon in Medford, Suffolk police said.
A 47-year-old man from Hempstead was driving a 2019 Ford delivery truck southbound on Lake Drive at around 1:25 p.m., when it struck an electric scooter, operated by a 49-year-old Medford woman, traveling eastbound on Lake Drive, according to police.
The woman was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said, adding that the man was not hurt in the crash.

Detectives from the 6th Squad in Selden are investigating, police said. They are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact them at 631-854- 8652.
