Woman Rescued From Farmingville House Fire

On Jan. 22, 2015 the Farmingville Fire Department was activated for a residential structure fire on Arden Lane.

Dispatch was getting reports of possible occupants trapped within the home. Suffolk County Police were the first units on scene, extinguishing the fire upon arrival witch had been exterior only.

Multiple SCPD officers entered the home and removed a 72-year-old woman from her bed, into a wheelchair and then brought her outside to safety. She was transported to a nearby medical facility as a precaution via a Farmingville ambulance.

A fire marshal was called to the scene to investigate. No other injuries were reported.
