Woman Struck By Vehicle That Left Scene In Medford: Police

The woman was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

MEDFORD, NY — A 72-year-old Holtsville woman fell after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene in Medford on Friday night, Suffolk police said.

She told officers that she was walking across the intersection of Peconic and Oregon avenues just before 8 p.m., when a white four-door sedan turned into the intersection, and struck her, causing her to fall to the ground, according to police.

The vehicle left the scene, police said.
