16-Year-Old Charged With Two Murders
BREAKING: The teen is accused of shooting two men to death.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with two murders, including the shooting death of a man near a Long Island high school last summer, Nassau Police said.
Malique Shelton, of Harts Avenue in Roosevelt, was arrested on Wednesday on Mollineaux Street at Washington Avenue in Roosevelt, police said.
Shelton is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Royston Hall.

Police say Shelton shot 37-year-old Royston Hall, of Roosevelt, at about 3:45 p.m. on June 22 outside 28 Wagner Ave. near Roosevelt High School, police said. Hall was pronounced dead at a local hospital about an hour later.
Shelton is also accused of fatally shooting 33-year-old Gerber Hernandez in front of 176 Ellison Ave. in Roosevelt in November 2015. The teen also robbed a Chinese food deliveryman at gunpoint in Roosevelt in November 2016, police say.

Shelton is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer. Shelton will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
