UNIONDALE, NY — A 39-year-old man is in critical condition Friday after he was struck by a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder on Jerusalem Avenue, police said.
Nassau County police said the unidentified man was walking north across Jerusalem Avenue when the Pathfinder traveling west struck him at 10:13 p.m.
According to police, the 45-year-old man driving the Pathfinder remained at the scene while the pedestrian he struck was taken to the hospital. The pedestrian remains in critical condition while an investigation into the crash is ongoing, police said.
Police did not report any arrests or charges related to the crash Friday morning.
