Baldwin CVS Declared Structurally Unsafe After Kia Crashes Into It, Injuring 2

A 64-year-old woman crashed her car into a Baldwin CVS Wednesday, injuring her and a passenger and rendering the building unsafe.

BALDWIN, NY — A Baldwin CVS was declared structurally unsafe Wednesday evening after a 64-year-old woman drove her Kia into the outer wall of the Grand Avenue pharmacy, police said.

Nassau County police did not identify the woman behind the wheel of the Kia, but said that she and a 68-year-old man who was riding shotgun were injured in the crash at 5:25 p.m. No other injuries were reported, police said.

Police said the duo were hospitalized with minor injuries while the Town of Hempstead building department inspected the building. After that investigation, police said the building department deemed the CVS structurally unsafe.
