Armed Men Robbed Nassau Check Cashing Business: Police

Police say the two men forced an employee in the store to the ground at gunpoint, then emptied out the business's cash.

Two armed men robbed a check cashing and money services business at gunpoint on Saturday, and Nassau police are seeking the public's help to find them.

According to police, two men entered Universal Envios Corp., located at 377A Nassau Road in Roosevelt, at 5:45 p.m. Friday. The men pulled out handguns, pushed the employee in the store to the ground and demanded money. The employee, a 33-year-old woman, gave them cash, and they fled south on Nassau Road.

The first man was 5 feet, 8 inches tall and had an average build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a dark mask. The second man was 5 feet, 6 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and a dark mask.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could earn a cash reward inf your information leads to an arrest.
