Armed Robbers Steal Food, Cash From Delivery Man In Nassau

Police say they struck the man with their gun and stole his food and cash.

Nassau police are searching for two men who robbed a delivery man at gunpoint in Roosevelt Wednesday night.

According to police, a Chinese restaurant employee was trying to make a delivery on Smith Street at 7:30 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded his money and cell phone. The delivery man refused and a struggle ensued. A second man approached and pulled out a handgun. He struck the delivery man in the head with the gun, causing a cut. The two robbers fled the scene on foot with the food, the delivery man's cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two robbers were black men, 5 feet, 9 inches to 5 feet, 11 inches tall, approximately 18 to 20 years old, wearing all black.
